PRP for Facial Rejuvention

For men and women who have thinning facial skin,  wrinkles and a dull complexion, PRP for Facial Rejuvenation can restore texture and improve the quality of your skin. PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma, a derivative of your blood that contains growth factors. These growth factors are responsible for tissue healing and new cell growth and when injected into the face can thicken the skin, reduce wrinkles, and rejuvenate your entire complexion. This treatment is natural, safe, and without downtime. Dr. Schlechter is pleased to offer PRP for Facial Rejuvenation to his Spa at Spring Ridge patients.

Who Can Benefit from PRP?

Any patient who is unhappy with the rate of their facial aging and the quality of their skin tone and texture can benefit from PRP. This procedure can be used alone or in combination with other facial rejuvenation or resurfacing procedures to enhance the patient’s facial skin and provide them with a glowing complexion.

Patients who undergo PRP treatments can expect to see:

  • Fewer facial wrinkles and folds
  • Increased collagen production
  • Thicker skin
  • Improvement in skin tone and texture
  • Less noticeable facial scars
  • Tighter skin
  • Increased facial volume

Magellan® TruPRP™ Treatment

Spring Ridge Plastic Surgery uses the Magellan® TruPRP™ machine, which separates the healing platelets from your blood and prepares the solution for injection. During your treatment, we will obtain blood from your arm and attach it to the Magellan® TruPRP™ machine. This machine performs double centrifugation by spinning the blood to separate the solids from the liquids. When it’s complete, a gel-like substance made from a high concentration of platelets is ready for injection.

Dr. Schlechter can inject the PRP anywhere the face is experiencing visible aging or damage. Following these injections, he will apply PPP (platelet-poor plasma that was also separated during the centrifugation) to the treatment area. Depending on your skin concern and extent of correction needed, you may require more than one treatment.

Recovery and Results After PRP for Facial Rejuvenation

The Magellan® TruPRP™ treatment requires little to no downtime, and patients can return to their normal activities immediately following the procedure. There may be some mild pain and redness at the injection sites, but these are temporary and should fade within a day or two. Because PRP and PPP are naturally derived from your blood, there is zero chance of experiencing any allergy, toxicity, or side effect.

Results from your PRP treatment will start to become visible immediately following the procedure and will continue to improve throughout the following weeks and months. If repeat treatments are necessary, these sessions will be spaced about 12 weeks apart. Following your PRP treatment, you can enjoy long-lasting results and a brighter, healthier, and more youthful-looking complexion.
